If you wanna **** on this tournament then go watch the Heavyweights refuse to put on big fights or boxing's 2 biggest stars refuse to fight at Welterweight. These guys are fighting no less often then the other big names in boxing simply twice a year.

 

If it had been single elimination, two of the guys who won in the second round would never have reached a second fight...

 

I think its a good tournament,it would be good if the fights were a little bit closer together but fighters need time to recover and these fights have all been pretty hard ones so far.

 

It's a good format because fighters can't dodge eachother. Once they're in the tourny the fights get made for them, they can't handpick their opposition.

 

If it was elimination then we would have had Froch, AA,Ward left so how would they proceed?

 

Too long between fights and I lose interest.Interesting concept though.

 

the tournament is right on schedule, exactly as they planned. Group stage 3 fights were scheduled to complete by the end of the year and that's where it's headed.
