Because the weaker fighters (all the Americans) face each other so they're gonna be picking up points, while some1 like Carl Froch has to fight both Kessler & Abrahams in consecutive fights. it would be great if everyone fought everyone! so u have a genuine top 4!
Round 1 Kessler/Ward Froch/Direll AA/Taylor Round 2 Kessler/Froch AA/Direll Ward/Taylor Round 3 Kessler/Taylor Froch/AA Ward/Direll Froch has probably 2 of the toughest fights in the tourney. He also had the greenest opponent. That's the way it goes... Blame Hennesy. But home court didn't hurt, did it? Ward is still a bit of an unknown quantity - Kessler could be in quite tough. And look at Dirrell's schedule! Taylor's! Quite yer bitchin'.
Froch should still make it through to the semi finals even if he loses his next 2 fights now that he has points in the bag. I highly doubt any 2 fighters from Dirrell/Ward/Taylor will win more than 1 fight each from their remaining bouts and Froch has a head to head win against Dirrell which will go in his favour if a countback is required. Looking at the way the matchups have been set the sauerland boxers (Kessler and Abraham) were pretty much locks for the top 2 positions from the start, meaning they will avoid each other in the semis. After that it'll be Froch and the winner of Dirrell/Ward in the last 2 places imo - if he decides not to drop out I can quite easily see Taylor losing all 3 of his fights.
Yeah, there's not chance Froch's 0 will survive the next two fights. But even if he wins one he should be through and it'll do wonders for his legacy. He's all about fighting the best it seems. You can't spell quit? Damn.
