we´ve had 4 or 5 threads, where we have discussed the winner, so how about we discuss who becomes the tourney loser.

my personal view is, that aa is going to struggle immensly. His style is not well suited against the other guys un the tourney.

unless he somehow develops a lot of headmovement and better foortwork, i see him being beaten by fighters, who are bigger, stronger, better, have longer reach, then what he is used to.

so who do you see strugling..??

There could be a couple of big losers out of this.

I suspect Froch will be exposed over and again for his limited skills.

Pavlik. :) Nobody's gonna pay attention to him fighting a couple of bums in the next 2 years. Also, Abraham laying down his title and facing off with the best at SMW makes me think it was indeed Kelly, who avoided their confrontation.

Of the Super Six, nobody's gonna be the loser. Well maybe if one fighter loses all three of his fights, but then again, what kind of a career would he have had in the first place?

Kessler stands to lose the most. Being promoted by Sauerland now, he could've had a cozy protected future fighting bums in Germany and Denmark and still make a million Euros per fight.

Froch too could have taken the protected road, but he would've had to face Ward and Dirrell anyways.

Taylor's career just got saved. Who cared about that man after going 1-3 with 2 devastating KOs. He would have had to face inferior opposition with little payment. Now, he's got at least 3 big fights lined up.

Dirrell and Ward are risking a bit too, seeing as they are inexperienced and now have to face off the best.

Just from a bout-per-bout perspective, I agree, that AA is the most likely candidate to drop all his fights. He seems to be too small and not skilled enough.

I think the tournament is interesting because many can win (not necessarily be the big winner, for me Kessler has an edge, but to win credibility) and many can lose a lot. I can see Abraham, Froch, Taylor, Ward and Dirrell lose a lot. And if Kessler is not as good as I think and lose one fight, he'll lose big too!

I agree, I'm not expecting Froch to win one fight in the tournament. I think it's possible he might beat Abraham but I think Dirrell is gonna completely expose him by outboxing him to a UD, and Kessler is just gonna knock his ass out.

    Abraham and Dirrell.

Dirrells got a lot of natural athletic ability, but he has some major problems with his technique and how he approaches things in the ring. The guy slaps with his hooks all the time. And backpedaling furiously while potshoting doesn't seem to be a recipe for success against Froch, who's tall and has good reach. But at least he's got one thing going for him - Froch's defense is unbelievably bad. That ***** gets hit by EVERYTHING.

As for Abraham, he's small, has a low workrate, and is not a terribly good boxer. That's a bad combo coming into this tourney. I think Taylor's going to outbox him rather easily.

Could somebody explain me how is this tournament going to play?
We have 3 fights, 3 winners and then who is fighting who?

Is two first winners fighting eachother leaving the third winner
for the grand finale? ... who then decides which one of these three
is not fighting in the second round?

Im pretty damn sure Ward will get knocked the **** out...It could be hard to come back from that...I think he's a little too green to fight in this tournament...And he will fight against Kessler in his first fight...:****off

AA could get exposed. With the step up in weight he was visibly the smaller man in the photoshoots and conferences. Will his power transfer well to 168? Probably quite well, but he could also just get bossed round the ring a bit by some of the bigger stronger men.

its difficult to say there will be a 'loser'. For the young fighters dirrel and ward, although its a risk, its a wonderful oppurtunity- and who knows...if one of them wins they could become a huge star

no way. People are writting him off and the pressure is off him. He doesnt stand to lose as much as the others-he has the least to lose. I think he could spring a surprise...
