Has anyone heard any news on whether any of the bigger santioning bodies (including regional like the EBU) will consider adopting the Super-cruiser division? And anyones thoughts and ideas on it are welcome.

For those who aren't sure what it would entail.. it involves setting the Cruiser limit to ~86kg; and implementing the Super-cruiser divsion for ~86-95kg. This would mean guys who fight at heavyweight and are continually outsized.. can fight in their own division and not give away huge weight. Likewise, guys who cannot make Light-heavy (e.g. people who really cant get below 80kg)will not be forced to fight well away from their natural weight.

I like the benefits, but am still not completely sold on a whole new weight division.

Great. An excuse for the sanctioning bodies to screw everyone over in a new division.

There's too many divisions in boxing as it is.... I don't think we need anymore.
