Stieglitz has no chance, Kessler is far more technically advance in comparation hits harder has better combination's. Even a shot Kessler wins a UD against Robert. Abraham looked like a pile of **** in his last fight, he was outboxed by a short fat MW with not much of experience and not much technique, really really bad. I never seen Wilczewski but if he's half decent he has a chance to win a UD against Abraham. Also other AA that the one we saw against Pokemon might turn up against Wilczewski. Fit and healthy Sartison would beat Balszay in a close fight.
Well this thread is all about friendly SMW debates against the current crop and for us to highlight up and coming fights and results, so we will soon see what our predictions are. I think Kessler beats Steiglitz, but I think it will be tougher than many think. This is Wilczewski against DeGale. It was a good fight, worth a watch. DeGale was coming off his close loss to Groves and fighting the European champ [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbHx3RdDucA[/ame]
Heres Wilczewski winning the European title. I think Im the only one picking him to beat Abraham [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICwxPqPFycY&feature=related[/ame]
Kessler is almost perfect at the "european style". His jab is great, his 1-2 is deadly and accurate and he has alot of thunder in his right hand. Stieglitz uses kind of the same basic euro style, and i don't see anyone beating Kessler in that game, just look what Kessler did to Stieglitz's fellow germans Beyer, Sartison and Haussler, if Kessler is just as sharp as he was in those fights, then he will murder Stieglitz..
Kessler seemed a shell of himself throughout the S6. Against Perdermo there seemed something missing, which I put down to absence, against Ward, I put Wards holding style, the refs warnings and the headbutts down to a bad performance, but against Froch I saw that the good foot movement and combinations werent there like before, which alarmed me. I hope im wrong but think Kessler could be on the way down. Still I pick Kessler against Steiglitz, but I think Steiglitz at this stage is better than Beyer at that stage and Kessler better at that stage than he is now
This content is protected . Kessler is still not ready to fight Steiglitz, so that fight wont be happening on the scheduled date of April 14th As you know Groves/Anderson was cancelled, but rumours are that Groves could be facing Steiglitz in April. Big step up for Groves if it happens. Even though Steiglitz is considered the weaker champ at SMW he has beaten Berrio who became IBF SMW champ, Balzsay who was undefeated WBO SMW champ and now current WBA regular champ and Steiglitz has beaten undefeated Gutknecht who is current LHW European champ. I wonder if this would be too much too soon for Groves? Names have been given for the Oousthuizen and Stevenson opponents (neither look bad match ups) and the Pavlik change of opponent rumours were correct This content is protected Edwin Rodriguez 20-0 14KOs is fighting 22-1-1 19KOs Don George on 17th Mar 2012 Kelly Pavlik vs Aaron Jaco 31st March 2012 Arthur Abraham vs Piotr Wilczewski 31st March 2012 Adonis Stevenson vs Noe Gonzalez Alcoba 20th April 2012 James DeGale vs Cristian Sanavia 21st April 2012 Karoly Balzsay vs Dimitri Sartison 21st April 2012 Thomas Oousthuizen vs Maxim Vlasov 27th April 2012 Sakio Bika vs Henry Buchanan 17th May 2012 Lucian Bute vs Carl Froch 26th May 2012
is Sakio Bika vs Henry Buchanan off? Also another decent fight seems to be on: Alexander Brand vs Badou Jack
I wish Ezequiel Osvaldo Maderna and Dominic Wade would schedule a fight in 2012 already. Also I would like to see Jinner Guerrero and Marco Antonio Periban live.
