I didnt say the division was weak, but did say, it is weak compared to previous years and proved the point below :smoke.
I dont look to, or need to big up Euro fighters, but you are proving how you havent read the pages as I give alot of credit to Lacy and Mitchell atsch. Ignorance on your part. Also ignorance as if I wanted to big up European fighters, it wouldnt be hard as the #1 SMW is European, but thats not what im about. Im a fan of boxers from all nations and was writing about the SMW division.

Kessler of now who Ward beat and who beat Froch wasnt even well and suffering double vision, and Bute nearly KOd by already beaten 2005 #10.

All world rated, and Tsypko became a European champ. Manfredo and Vanderpool had both been in the Ring top 10 when Lacy beat them .

You just constantly fail to admit that even if Jeff Lacy & Markus Beyer were 25 ****in' times Super Middleweight champs, it wouldn't change the very high probability that they'd get torn to pieces, prime for prime, by guys like Ward - Bute - Dirrell - Kessler - Froch & Abraham !! :deal

Prime Beyer I believe, would have beaten Froch, Green, Andrade, G Johnson, Steiglitz

Prime Lacy before Calzaghe ruined him would have had a good chance against any of the current SMWs. Remeber how much he was hyped? Probably selectively forgotten Im sure. I think Lacy would probably lose to Bute and would lose to a fit and well Kessler. But Bute has been KOd before as an amateur and even though I think Bute would have beaten a prime Lacy, I wouldnt bet much on it, because when Lacy landed he often had a good result before his shoulder injury

Other than Calzaghe, I really dont rate that list you've produced as highly regarded fighters...They were pretty much hype at the time.

1. Calzaghe undefeated world champ...Good champ..nobody can doubt that but his choice of opponents has been questioned...He fought sub par talent.
2. Kessler undefeated world champ (undefeated and not suffering double vision)...Good fighter but was outclassed by Ward...You can try to nitpick all you want to but the fact still remain he's in a talented division today and was beaten handily...To burst your bubble, Kessler was the favorite to win the tournament so you can kiss that sorry excuse you're trying to make for him goodbye!:hi:
3. Lacy undefeated world champ (undefeated, and tell me an active American SMW with a better resume) A very overhyped, overrated fighter back when he was in his prime
