i just think that with bika he is still improving. when he fought calzaghe he was relatively inexperienced. he has also showed some real mongrel in him and he won't be a pushover.
Bika early in his career fought Sam Soliman to a SD, fought f for a world title, giving Markus Beyer all he could handle before that fight was ruled a NC... He lost to Calzaghe but gave him a tough night, He gave Lucian a difficult night, Won the Contender 3 (which was probably the best season of them all and also avenging a loss to Soliman), He showed some improvement in the Manfredo fight... Straightening up his punches.... He's still top 10 to me, just the lower half, but could easily fight his way to the upper portion... Andrade/Bika would be fun BUT.......... Bika/Taylor would be much more fun to watch........
Let´s hope that all that talent end up with some exiting fights beetween these SMW. I would LOVE kessler-Froch...or Kessler -Taylor.And Froch-Bute....IMO great fights all of them.
In that division, we can take a hat, put the top ten names in it and pick 2 of them, there is a great chance it makes a good fight. Many good young fighters but still, at many degrees, unproven. That makes it exciting.
1. Kessler 2. Bute 3. Taylor 4. Froch 5. Inkin 6. Andrade 7. Bika 8. Dirrell 9. Pascal 10. Karoly Balzsay That's my top 10 right now, but to be honest there's not a ton of separation between most of the list. Even going 15-20 deep can get you some great matchups as this is one of the deepest divisions in the sport right now IMO. Guys like Ward, Miranda, and Sartison are just on the outside and would be competitive with most of the top 10, and Danny Jacobs has a ton of potential as well and is progressing very nicely.
The list is a bigger joke than the poster. How can you have Froch and Pascal over Bute and Taylor? This is where nuthugger is defined.
I'm gonna say it and take the ridicule and then pull this post up in 18 months. If i don't i know you will. 1. Froch 2. Kessler 3. Taylor 4. Inkin 5. Pascal 6. Bute
Your list is ok to me. What the Frochuggers forget is that a ranking is based on what a boxer has accomplished. Maybe Froch wille be number 2 in a year. He has to fight big names and win to do it. It's not a what I think he is capable thing. It's what he has actually done. I doubt he'll ever raise to number 2 spot but I can be wrong.
