Agreed. If it wasn't for the tournament, we really wouldn't be seeing so many of the top guys in the division fighting each other. I'm amazed that some people are so down on it.

Super 6 has been good so far. We have great fighters all fighting each other. Also, don't give me the officiating has been bad, Ward beat Kessler's ass with or without the headbutts, and the Froch-Dirrell fight was a close fight that could have gone either way. If Froch won (which he did) there would be bitching, if Dirrell won there would be bitching.

People are just hating on the tournament just because ie has a label on it "Super 6." If there wasn't a label and these fighters just fought each other than people would be creaming their pants over these fights that we have/will be getting over the next year or so.

Thank you !! you hit the nail right on the head... This person is sore that Kessler got his ass handed to him, so not the whole tournament is a fake.. No doubt if Kessler would have won this tournament would have been the best thing since sliced bread.

Hello! This is not 1978, mainstream boxing has been dead for ages. Not sure what the problem is. This is boxing there hasn't been any real change in this sport since God knows when. If SHO was trying to cater to the casual fan they are giving away FREE SHO this weekend so that might help a bit. Boxing will not get any bigger until it finds it's way back on mainstream tv. ESPN boxing FNF does not really count as fights with the mismatches and every opponent being brought in on 2 days notice. The only program that I recall that has brought in any NEW blood as far as fans is concerned was SEASON 1 of the Contender which was shown on NBC and then later on every continent shortly after.

If they could somehow follow the guidelines and rules before the tournament started, it would look more organized. As far as the refereeing, I think Ward should have gotten a warning at the minimum when the first butt occurred. The referee in the Froch fight should have also given a warning for the rabbit punches, unfortunately Direll did no favor bending to Froch's knee, turning his head and falling down.

Don't. There are many british posters on ESB and it would be a natural reaction for some of them.

shocking!!!!! A Calzaghe fans trys to discredit the super-six after Kessler, a man that is carring Calzaghe place in history, gets dominated.

this has nothing to do with Calzaghe my man, and the weightclass is moving on without him, in fact its better RIGHT now then it ever was while he was in it.:good

It is a refreshing idea and the fact that it has already began with some actions, upsets and revelations in its initial schedules is promising.

The usual problems will come out, but are these problems isolated with this tournament alone? No. They are everywhere. The judges, hometown, etc.

In the end, this is not a farce.

Amazing how little middle ground there is. A few, myself included, tried to point some of this stuff out at the outset. "Hater" is probably the kindest thing we were called. And what is this thread all about? The "alleged" judges and refs for one of the fights. One that would never have been implemented because it flies in the face of the agreed rules. Settle down people. Geez.......

So far it's been alright. An explosive KO, an controversial decision in an ugly fight, and a big upset.

It's definitely makes 168 one of the most compelling divisions out there.
