I fear there will be mass xenophobia regarding the clear hometown advantage in the tournament, in order to assemble six equally great fighters in the future for a similar tournament, they will need to petition for a more fair and equal platform. Andre Dirrell: "Thats why RJJ or PBF never go over here, there aint nothing over here mayn" Mikkel Kessler: "I was not ready for the hometown refereeing" This needs to be adressed for the remaining period of the tournament, we have not had one "away" victory, when in fact Dirrell, could've and probably should've won his bout against Carl Froch. Quite frankly, I don't think it will be easy to get Goosen to fly Ward across the pond for a fight with someone, after this.. and quite understandably, since home turf has been the main factor in the tournament thus far. What changes would you like to see being implemented, in order to even things up a bit?
entirely depends on how much money showtime will make If showtime was the one who selected the judges and officials, none of this home town stuff would be an issue. Instead the promoters are the ones who are paying the officials.
Its one of the many things that pisses me off about boxing and it happens everywhere.(Germany,UK and america) Though some people will have you think corruption and bias is only limited to certain areas.
