Did you mean to quote me? Nothing in my post that you quoted even mentioned other eras.

Heavyweight sucks and has always sucked. Whether it has sucked less at other times is really immaterial. Heavyweight is p4p the weakest division in the sport right now. In my post, I pointed out that only Parker and Joshua really stand out, and even they pale in comparison to guys like GGG or Inoue.

You need to get past the idea that HW matters. It doesn't.

Outside of AJ/Wilder, and the winner V Fury if he comes back looking as good as he used, I have absolutely no interest in HW until some of the prospects start showing they're the real deal. how you can call that division stacked is beyond me

Hughie fury is currently a top 5 heavyweight and will end up either number 1 or number 2 behind tyson fury. Wipes the floor with Joshua and wilder and the rest. Hughie will play with Joshua’s head like you do a beach ball on the beach.

You're deliberately downplaying the powerhouse level of talent seen in the division in both the 70s and the 90s. Those were stacked divisions. Right now? It's better than when Wlad reigned, but even Wlad's own Hall of Fame trainer admitted repeatedly that Wlad reigned in one of the worst eras in heavyweight history.

I would say the division is on the upswing, but I would stop WELL short of describing it as "stacked".

And yes. The division in the 70s and 90s was, for me at least, far more stacked than the current landscape, despite your efforts to reduce them down to nothing special.

You pretty much summed it up. There are 3 fighters that have potentially interesting match-ups between one another. And then maybe a couple of other guys who may or may not figure into the bigger picture.

I think the division can receive a much needed lift if Wilder and Joshua fight sooner rather than later, but there's no guarantees they will fight, there are no guarantees one of them won't lose before it happens, and even if they do fight next - there are no guarantees the fight will live up to expectations.

I don't think it's all that stacked if Breazeale can be considered a top ten HW. That dude sucks.

I think it could be stacked in the next 3-5 years or so, but as of right now no way. Currently it has the potential to be pretty entertaing, but stuff like Breazeale getting a title shot for beating Molina is going to encourage the top 10 to hide from each other and just wait their chance. Hopefully the upcoming prospects are as good as a lot of people think they are and the top guys actually start fighting each other.

Show me where I said they weren't stacked divisions?

Instead of questioning me which a nonsensical bc you know I cover The heavyweights why don't youyou re read your fellow mods post and ask who's down playing boxing in general....

The truth is this era is being played down which is fine but when you tell me the HW division is always the weakest that tells me you don't know much about boxing bc it has always been the division to carry the sport minus a few eras.

Once again you have overexaggerated and proven no point...so what is your point ? If you can't discuss the thread why come on here....seriously.

Seems like you like most are the ones who don't like fresh blood in the sport.

you don't think it's stacked? That's all need to know...lol

i was around in the 90's back then they said the SAME thing you guys are saying and that's why no one watches it...smh.

you know what the difference is between this era and the 90's ?

the two top guys are actually going to fight at some point not throw a belt in the garbage.....:babeando:
