I gave rounds 3,6 and 12 to Ward. 6 is understandable but it was still a Ward round in my opinion. 3 and 12 though Ward landed the cleaner punches. I don't see any case for Kov being handed those rounds.
Expect the next to e theses two pair up I have a feeling it will be in court with ward no honouring the contract I mean when as ward ever honored any contract And his form in the courts is shocking
I fully expect ward to fight legally to someone break the rematch clause, ward knows the best he can do is survive vs kovalev and he knows kov won't accept outboxing ward round after round. We all know kov has to destroy him to get a drsaw, but usually blatant robberies like that can't occur back to back. IF ward doesn't try to sue he'll be tko'd or beaten even worse. Kov is a level or a few above Ward , that's been proven
People ignoring Kovalev holding Ward by the neck and punching him. He is as dirty of a fighter. Yet Ward is the villain somehow. Go figure.
Answer me these 2 questions... 1) How many fights has Kovalev been in that are ugly and borderline wrestling matches? 2). How many fights has Ward been in that are ugly and borderline wrestling matches?
Not all would be classed as wrestling matches or even borderline but: Ward: Kovalev, Rodriguez, Bika, Kessler and Miranda(memory is a bit foggy on that one) Kovalev: Ward. Yet when Ward got on the inside, why was Kovalevs first instinct to initiate a headlock and then punch Ward in that position? That night, Kova did most of the holding. Ward likes his both hands free on the inside, so he can punch and defend.
Ward is a horrible fighter to watch and yes in his fights there is a common occurrence of holding, grappling and it's all because of Andre Ward. He's like a 175 lb Hatton.
One minute into the Kovalev fight, it was Kovalev who started wrestling! Wtf were you watching? Yes, Ward responded with the same but Kovalev was the first to do it. Get off that high horse.
