Manny landed gloves all night. He had a few shots here and there but it was May landing all of the shots this fight.

2 different classes of fighter, like I said already.

    Called this from day 1.

Don't know why so many are ****ed off. May was always the better fighter. Always was, always will be.

I doubt it's accurate for that either it I'm being honest. Compubox is full of human error and the limitations of humans. If the button pusher is on one side of the ring they can't possibly see every punch thrown, feints could look like punches from their angle, clusters of shots could easily be miscounted and the operator merely blinking could put their count out.

It's a flawed system and cannot be relied up on as a "live" system.

    Those scores are c rap

the ana-lysis is nice, the reason why ppl think manny did so badly was bcus he didn't fight "as he normally does" this is just a stupid reason to think he would fight reckless against a master technician like May-weather esp after his KO loss against JMM

He fought cautious and his stamina wasn't great - probably put on too much weight after weigh in - and he was up against may so obviously it would be harder

But froch gave manny 2 rounds only, and I think most of these close rounds given to Floyd with scores of 118-110/117-111 were bcus people were inflating floyd's "masterclass" even when he was getting hurt more by pacman

I mean there were instances during the sky broadcast (which was bloody terrible!)

"Mayweather is holding his ground in the centre of the ring" and that was said while he was being backed up into the ropes

And other example "manny needs to start doing something bcus......"

And in the time the guy was talking manny had landed 6 times on Floyd - it was just so strange - manny didn't perform as bad but Mayweather didn't perform as good neither

And as the op is saying they both had a negative affect on their regular averages

I see what you're saying but I doubt it's off by a margin of error of more than 10% or so in terms of punches thrown (about 50 punches each in last night's fight). I can't even begin to guess how big the margin of error is on connects.

Pacquioa tried out countering Mayweather. Huge mistake. He was successful in parts. Pac showed good defense, and probably landed the most counters I've ever seen landed on Floyd, which is usually 0. I think Roach and Pac thought if they landed a solid counter they could drop Floyd. Except Floyd has a good chin and at best they could only stun him. Pac was instead too worried about timing Mayweather and reacting, where he really needed to be feinting and making Mayweather think. The output was too low and played into Mayweather's hands. Mayweather had the superior foot movement, reach, and is a more highly skilled counter puncher. It turned into a battle of wits and Pacquiao was out witted.

I think it was great seeing these two scare off even though the bout mostly was a dull affair as we have often long wondered how these two would react if they ever got to fight each other

It was rather frustrating seeing Mayweather content with winning behind his jab and maintaing distance but you can't fault the guy considering he's the best at what he does and nobody can seem to past it.

As a Pacquiao fan I acknowledge Mayweather's boxing superiority and would say I'm not too surprised by the result. I always thought Pacquiao had the right combination of factors in his favor but I guess a great little guy will lose to the great bigger guy every time.

Just try it with this round, pick either fighter and count their thrown shots.[YT]KlasqsyXLXE[/YT]

If you want to go back and do it with the other guy afterwards feel free. It's even better if you compare all 4 stats (Kikrland threw, Kirkland connect, Angulo threw and Angulo connect)
