Vitali was not prime at all, he was pretty raw at that time. Lol Lewis never turned up to any fight with any intention of doing anything but winning. Lewis never faced anybody with the attributes of Vitali frankly speaking. He was finally in there with an opponent bigger than him and quickly realized that he couldn't push him around, clinch him around and therefore never favored facing him ever again.
Michael Grant was bigger then him 3lbs heavier, and 2 lbs heavier than Vitali, who was 31 years old ,number one contender and bang in his prime with 33 fights under his belt !What a lot of boll*cks you spout!
34 fight,30something vits was prime for lewis, there is nothing you can say to change this truth. Claiming he was raw is some kind of stand-up joke at best.
he wasnt raw at all, he'd held a title, albeit a lesser one. and lewis can not be held to blame for vitali fighting largely bums up to the age of 32, nor after 32 either. jeez, heres you trying to blame Lewis for vitali having a mediocre resume...what next..lewis was vitalis secret manager and told him not defend himself?
Lewis was the one who mentioned post fight "When you have 2 big guys in the heavyweight division, anyone of us can end a fight with one big punch, i gave him a chance to fight, he was my mandatory, but i am not fighting him again". Came from the horses mouth himself.
