There is a tendency to go overboard on the forum when a guy wins a fight. Cotto was good but was being overrated here big time after the Mosely fight In spite of the questions still out there.

Margo wins and now his chin and power are being overrated and there are questions about him also.

The tendency to go from bum to great in just one fight shows that there are a lot of Posters who have not been watching boxing for very long.

Perhaps, but is there even one person on a forum that would rank Margarito P4P #5?

There are plenty of Margosexuals who overate the **** out of him, saying P4P he is better than Pavlik, Can hang with a prime Tito and Winky, and my favorite one - he is the "New Hagler"

Hell no. The industry "experts" are the ones who disturb me. Of course the fans are ******ed.

That's all a matter of opinion. Nothing outrageous there. Margarito can hang with alot of fighters. He's good.

This thread is totally necessary. Happens so much. Almost everyone in the P4P Rankings is overrated. Fighters turn from bums to greats in one fight. And its not only the users on the forums, even boxing analysis contribute to the problem.

I don't get affected by all these HYPINGS. I always rely on my own assesments of a fighter.:D

AS to the trend in this forum . . . can't help that. Haters trash one fighter and after the fight . . . depending on who wins . . . somebody earns their bragging rights.

    :good

I think its the opposite, fighters are underated on boxing forums, everything is pulled apart to the nth degree. A soon as Cotto loses he was never that good, as soon as Margarito wins he'll never beat Pavlik.

I enjoy the overrating by fanatics, and then the counterpoint provided by those who try to be objective, otherwise I wouldn't have much to read about here. I do get irritated by those who ruthlessly critisize a beaten fighter after losing, like what's happened after Marg./Cotto.

It's the ESB post fight madness taking hold.
