I liked the rest of your post, you've clearly got a passion for boxing, but you need to broaden your horizons a bit. Again, I'm not being mean, just pointing out that there are many ways of duelling for honour and that MMA is also an ancient and noble sport.

You would hope that even a casual glance at the figures depicted on ancient pottery on the Wiki pages mentioned, indeed a knowledge of ancient art prominently displayed in some of those fine European museums would educate.

it´s like looking at warfare: yes, a war can be won easier and faster if you resort to tactics like using the atomic bomb, poison gas, biological weapons. on top of that you can demoralize the public by killing the children and raping the women etc. but SHOULD it be won that way?

and thats what mma People dont get. think about it: you could create the SUPER ultimate fighting Championships: all contestants would have to enter nude and EVERYTHING would be allowed.
and it´s Champion would be the guy who´d be willing to submit his Opponent by biting him in the nutsack while shoving his fist up his ass at the same time.

YES, you CAN win a fight like that. but should you? and is that "Champion" the guy you´d walk up to and shake his hand, telling him "good Job". Keep it up.

Or isnt it better to fight like a man. with fists. Standing up.
