The turning up at your door does happen. It happening to all four of the Smith brothers around a month ago, but due to the cost it doesn't happen much- however unlike the USA, at least there is the threat of it happening.

Well in Mayweather's last fight Berto was not named until 5 weeks out (and the testing doesn't start until the fight is signed), another interesting comparison to the Brook v Porter fight is USADA was originally supposed to do the testing but when the fight got rescheduled they said they needed at least 6 weeks testing- but did it for Mayweather anyway. So there is a lot of corruption going on with these Americans trying to get away with it, I think.

Eddie Hearn talks about the testing system here at around 40.30

    bailey,

I've finally got around to the thread.

I hope you're wrong about Ward-Kovalev. The last I'd heard, they'd pencilled a date in for November. I can't wait to see the Barrera fight to evaluate him. As long as the fight is definitely going to happen, I wouldn't even mind if they didn't fight until next year. I'd like to see him fight a few fights, if not 3, before he fights Kovalev. It's unbelievable to think that the final of the Super Six was over 4 years ago and he's only fought 3 times since. I really want to see him stay active now. These should be his peak years.

Regarding Amir, wow! I was shocked when that fight was announced. I agree with you, I do think he's in a position where he has nothing to lose and everything to gain. But I've still got to give him huge credit for taking it. When it was first announced, all I could envisage was a Canelo knockout. But I'm now coming around to the idea that Amir has got a chance if he can retain his speed at the higher weight. It's an absolutely intriguing fight, and I'm looking forward to it more than any other. I too thought he was ducking Kell. It certainly looked like it. Hopefully that can still happen in the future. But we don't know how the weight will affect him, and if he'll be able to drop back to WW afterwards without any issues.

    Exciting times ahead.
