The Ticket Prices for Mayweather-Hatton are insane

yup I was actually thinking about going, but once I saw those prices, said nevermind. I will have the best seat in My house though lol. I will order it, call over my friends charge $10 a head 2 watch, order some pizza and wings and chill out.

 

the original prices at ticketmaster were from 100 to 1000. but they were sold out in a few minuts. Now some of them are captured by some sites and they will sell them for ridiculous prices. But we all know some will pay. a

 

yup that s**t is ridiculous, dont got the bread for no thousand dollaar ticket 2 watch boxing. When the tv has the best view lol. I mean I would hav elove to gone just for the atmosphere, but the prices are crazy

 

I think it has gotten to the point where the ticket distribution has to be regulated.

This policy is the only thing so far I think GBP is really ****ing up. You aren't going to win new fans charging astronomical prices like that, or else negotiating with brokers to give them access to tickets.

It's a joke. That's why I like the Thomas & Mack Center, where it's much more difficult to perpetrate something like that.

Paying $100 for a full day of fights is OK with me, if the main event is great. But no more than that, and ideally less. I watched Morales/Pacquiao II for $50.

 

I agree. It's absurd. The state commissions need to step in and stop this. The promoters can make a ton of money without extorting fans by going into league with brokers.

 

Dont agree with the prices by any means, but Superbowl tickets aint cheap either.

Very true about the Superbowl, but I think the difference is that the NFL has all the fans it will ever need, while boxing needs to be more fan-friendly in order to remain afloat.

Goldenboy has done some good things for the sport, but this ticket price-fixing threatens to rob the average fan of a live fight experience. And taking a casual fan to a live fight is a great way to convert them into a future ESB poster.

 

That's exactly whom they're counting on to shell out the heavy cash.

I think what concerns me most is that hardcore fans aren't the ones buying the seats -- it's wannabees who show up late and hope to get caught on TV while talking on their cell phones.

Most of us get squeezed out in that scenario.

 

yup sad too see , Iv seen at least 3 web sites that have gone out of there way to point out that Floyd has had run with the law and the guy we all should root for is Hatton because he's such a swell guy.. This fight has turned to race so much that Im actully thinking of leaving the sport of boxing all together. this **** is weak as hell.
