Ok weve gotten this straightened out, Shogun loses because of his knees. Hes the LHW champion with bad knees. The greatest of all times.

Ok fair enough. Shogun loses because of his knees.

I just hope Jones can get up for this fight since, its a no win situation.

Shogun had 2 knee ops, won the title, then had ANOTHER knee op after the Machida fights. See how this works?????
Your on form with the logic in your posts today. Been hanging out with Charlie Sheen lately?

Chimba, scur is right. Shogun has excellent jits. He is a black belt and he openly admits that along with Muay Thai this is what he trains. He does everything with bad intentions, ask Kevin how his knee feels. Nevertheless, brutal striking does it best for him. His jits compliments his striking. He uses it to enforce his Muay Thai.

Matt Serra has poor power on paper, same with Maynard but that isn't true in the ring. In MMA, these things can sometimes get lost in the mix.

Only Zuffa zombies can see Jones as the favorite in this fight..Jones career could very much end here.

Thanks man, now Jones win just got more meaningless. Why even make the fight? Its obvious that Shogun cant be beaten fairly.

Ill check back on you after the fight. Oh nevermind, Shoguns knees are shot.

Well I am sorry if favouring an MMA vet over a guy who beat Ryan Bader is upsetting you so much. I didnt start making pathetic little cry baby posts when other people were saying
And then have the temerity to whine that nobody was taking the other guy seriously did I?

And Shoguns knees are a legitimate concern.I was just hoping that Shoguns knees were holding up so we get to see a competitive fight with both fighters at their best and let the best man win. Didnt know you were so sensitive. I cant cure unrequited love you got for JJ but maybe you should try this for your other aliment

No one inferred that. The point is a simple one. Jones for me is an over whelming favourite simply because Rua isn't the same fighter he once was. Its really that simple.

I think people are going to be surprised as to how easily Shogun handles Jones. Rua KO late 1st round - early 2nd round.

I love shogun and have followed em since pride but, I'll still put money on that bet :deal it is difficult to use the clinch with somebody taller and I think it is generally difficult to train for somebody like Jones. He uses his long limbs very well to get takedowns and better positioning. Also, like it has already been said shogun isn't the same fighter anymore we can only hope the pride shogun shows up. I see Jones' range and distance making it difficult for shogun to get into his rhythm. Either way I'm gonna enjoy this fight :happy

The form and MMath say an easy win for Jones, but I'm not so sure. He's been great at neutralizing wrestlers and beating them at their own game, but he hasn't faced a Shogun-like fighter yet. 'tuff pick.. 50/50.. wouldn't be surprised to see either guy win via blowout.

    I'm still excited about this.

Bones has wrestling on his side. That will be his equaliser. shogun has fought wrestlers but none that will approach him like bones.

i think rua jits is underrated big time and his record doesn't do him justice.

time will tell. but if bones can't enforce his wrestling then brutality will ensue.
