The officials submitted by the WBC were Dave Moretti,LouFillipo,Harry Gibbs,and Richard Steele.Hagler's camp, the Petronelli brothers objected to Englishman Harry Gibbs onthr basis of the riot that broke out when Hagler had taken the ttile from Minter at Wembley.
Gibbs did not officiate in that fight,in fact he was sitting next to me.The other reason for the objection was the supposed distaste for in fighting that English officials had.
The Hagler camp demanded a Mexican official in Gibbs place and they got one.
Jo Jo Guerra who gave Hagler just 2 rounds of the 12rounds. Gibbs flew home without seeing the fight, he watched it on TV 2 weeks later and scored it 8- 5-1 Hagler!

They were overrated and out of their league with Leonard vs. Hagler. They lost Hagler the fight.

I thought Hagler's corner was exposed a bit in this fight,it was obviously very close ,yet they just sponged him off ,gave him no instructions and failed to convey any sense of urgency or need to pick up the pace, no motivation whatsoever,poor corner work imo.
