Pretty much says it all. Briggs should have never been allowed to fight Vitali. It's a shame because Shannon is a bright guy who could likely have a career in broadcasting. Hopefully he didn't incur any permanent damage from this beating.

LOL yeah...The mans face bleeding for round after round, like 3 big cuts, took some of the biggest punches I've ever seen in boxing...and YET he was still WINNING! It wasn't like it was a tie, or Lewis winning most of the rounds. Dude fighting with a ripped off face was legitimately winning the rounds STILL! That's why the fight didn't need to be stopped.
Klit didn't want it, his corner didn't want it, he was still winning, and not only fighting back, but fighting better than Lewis. That's why the fight shouldn't have gotten stopped.

As admirable heart Briggs must of had to absorb punishment to that extent, this is not acceptable for the modern sport.

His Corner Failed to look after safety their fighter and the ref didn't look after the safety of a fighter.

I'd even go as far to say the fight shouldn't of happened.

Either way though, WAR Briggs, thats a hell of a fight. If Briggs wants to keep fighting he got my respect.

The toll Briggs had to pay for being unworthy, being terribly out of condition and old.

 

So tell me..... why were they putting butterfly stitches over the cut before it got called off?
