The Tony Bellew Avoided WBSS - USYK v BRIEDIS - Free on ITV Box Office

Bellew said only the other week after Haye fight his preference would be to fight Uysk. Said I know i would be underdog but would love to get in there sith him. He win world title is 35, likes long camps and gaps in between which u can't really do in WBSS so took a fight with Haye were he earned more than 3 times in one fight than he has in his entire career combined. In thst situation would anyone not have taken the Haye option ? If not why not?

Fantastic fight between 2 actual warriors who backed it up in ring shame more people won' have seen it in first few rounds were close before usyk pulled awsy but alwsys competitive and both showed chin and heart botj landed bombs. Atmosphere sounded great and usyk class act post fight. As for bellew lol he wouldn't go near any other 2 semi finalists never mind these 2 has a world title fighting weakest of the champions never faced top 5 fighter in cruiserweight fights a broken man ,the warrior prepared to die ring who ran against Stevenson and got destroyed runs his mouth doesn't back it up the haye fights a farce. Two bang average old fighters just wanting easy pay day personaly dobt blame them easy money but think find 80 percent guys on here not really interested more casual tbh

 

And had usyk up by 3 in final round but we'e close rounds at start with that atmosphere couod easily sway judges

 

I didn't see many people say fighting Haye was the easy safe option when he took it. 95% said he will be flattened in 2-3 rounds. So would you not have chosen Haye fight for over 3 times your entire career earnings?

 

Most people in here classed Haye as the most dangerous fighter prior to the fight. Most men especially those with a family would have also took Haye fight. Boxing is a job for Tony Bellew and he got offered a bigger stage and much more money and took that option. One he now admits has set up his family financially, so that proves he was right to take Haye fight.

 

Most casuals who viewed Bellew v Haye dont know there is a WBSS cruiserweight tournament legacy so that's not going to be there view. Yes most thought Haye was passed his best but they still thought he would knock Bellew out early. Plus if rematch goes ahead Bellew will have another 3-4m in his bank so far play to him.

 

The judges wear headphones I think so they can’t hear the crowd. I think it’s something the WBC do

 

Bellew is WBC 'emiritus' champion which means he gets a shot at Usyk should he choose to return to cruiserweight.

I personally would pay money to watch Usyk do a number on Tony in what would be the final fight of his career.
