1. Wladimir Klitschko (Ukraine) 2. Andre Ward (USA) 3. Vasyl Lomachenko (Ukraine) 4. Gennady Golovkin (Kazakhstan) 5. Sergey Kovalev (Russia) 6. Saul Alvarez (Mexico) 7 Oleksandr Usyk (Ukraine) 8. Luke Campbell (GB) 9. Kazuto Ioka (Japan) 10.Mateusz Masternak (Poland) It'll probably look something like this. Mayweather, Vitali Klitschko, Froch, Marquez, Martinez, Kessler, Pacquaio will all have probably retired by then. Rigondeux is chinny I think he's gonna get sparked
Ummm. Well I like my Eastern Euros (+ex Sovs) too, but as well (virtually) ignoring the rest of the world, you are nowhere near close on the weight class distribution you typically find in p4p - and that's not even taking into account that several of the fighters you've mentioned are likely to have moved up in weight class by 2018. And I'd be very worried if an aging WK actually improved on the p4p ratings ffs - that'ld imply that the general quality of boxers would have significantly declined. You notice that there's only Ward who's at all black on your list btw?:think In fact as time goes on expect to see more East Asian and African fighters, and also greater penetration at the higher weight classes (though it might be more than 5 years 'til it has a real impact).
race doesn't come into it. This is a sport. Andre Ward is mixed raced anyway not black. For example I named 3 olympic gold medalists and p4p amateur stars who should be future p4p pro stars too ( lomachenko, usyk, campbell) you have to expect them to be up there. African fighters??? come on mate the whole continent of Africa never won a single medal at last years olympics in boxing, and are very poor at boxing, there almost definately won't be any africans in p4p lists anytime soon that's for sure, you know that's the truth, are you trolling saying africans? cause that doesn't make any sense at all. East asians might have 1 or 2 but not many, I did put Ioka on the list, and maybe Uchiyama will be up there. The best nations in amateur boxing currently are Ukraine, Russia, Cuba and Great Britain so I expect more fighters from them countries to be on p4p lists in 5 years time.
Ward, russell jr, rigo, ggg, mikey garcia, are must Wildcards are kovalev, thurman, lucas, bronner, mares and a posibly felix verdejo
if wladi ist still the champ, then **** yes he should be p4p number one and the greatest heavy of all time. he will then be 42, with 70 or 80 wins with at least 60 ko and would have reigned for ****ing 10 years and will break every possible record and clean out 4 generations of heavweights. how the **** would the quality of the others decline, it would just speak about wlads quality
Klitschko will be retired,Alvarez exposed as hypejob, Luke Campbell? Why, because he won 1 fight. Not every Gold medalist becomes a great pro.
wladimir does seem to be getting better with age W Klitschko, Rigondeux, Lomachenko, Ward, Mikey Garcia, Matthysse, Usyk, Golovkin, Korobov, wilcards - Kell brook, Groves, Frampton, Thurman, Pulev
look at the facts man. if he is still the champ in 5 years that would mean, that he was from 2000 till 2006 always in the top 5 or top 10 and from 2006 till 2018 the champ. the numbers would be too great to dismiss them. how can you argue against this? he would be the longest reigning heavyweight champ of all time, he would have the most title defences and one of the greatest records and resumes of all time. and he would **** ali up. like i already said, wlad of the last three years can only lose to lewis, tyson and vitali, he would smoke everone else
yes I agree if he is still undisputed in 5 years having beat the likes of Povetkin, Pulev, Haye again, having made the most consecutive defences ever and breaking all the records, then he should certainly be considered as the best ever heavyweight, defo top 3 best ever.
you've put felix verdejo on the list but not Lomachenko? Lomachenko beat Verdejo, had a 396-1 record is the best amateur boxer in history, won everything, beat everybody, ............etc obviously some nationalistic or racial bias going on clearly anyone who doesn't have Lomachenko on their list doesn't have a clue. he's fighting a 10 rounder in his first fight wants to fight for the world title in his 3rd fight he won't be waiting about. If anybody is definately gonna be in the top 10 p4p rankings in 5 years time it's lomachenko I don't think you people realise just how good this guy is
Shittiest list. Id be suprised if you got more than 2 right. I will bookmark this and come back and laugh at you.
Try reading a bit more carefully. Yes indeed, I allude to the fact that Ward is not fully black, but I'm surprised that you don't have Rigondeaux or any other Cubans or black Americans. I appreciate that you are very fond (as I am I) of Eastern Euro boxers, but you're suggesting that within 5 years white boxers will totally dominate the p4p rankings? Similarly you will read that I was making a point about the longer term with regards to Asian an African fighters 'not much impact within 5 years' I believe were my words. As I also point out p4p lists always favour the lower weight classes, whereas more than half the fighters on your list are 160 or above. It looks like you've made a list of who you think are the best fighters in the world within putting much thought into how that works on a p4p basis. Furthermore, unless you believe the North American continent is simply going to vanish, removing the traditional boxing powerhouses (and key sources of revenue for the sport) of the US and Mexico, how come they are basically unrepresented. No matter how excellent an Amateur boxing tradition is the pro-ranks are also going to produce many Elite fighters - also, for a variety of reasons, many ams do not perform as expected in the pro sport. With regards to WK - at the moment he is typically at about 4-6 on p4p lists. For him to rise to number 1 pound for pound it would mean that either he had got significantly better in terms of fighting ability (not resume - take the example of Maravilla who's resume has improved in his last few fights but whose abilities can be seen to have slipped - ie lower ranking p4p) which to me seems unlikely at 42 years old, or that the guys who were previously considered better p4p had somehow declined (or retired) without new fighters of the same quality replacing them. The p4p lists are comparative you see, for one to be better the other has to be worse and vice versa, in terms of current ability.
