I think it's past time for these rankings to reward a fighter's activity and penalize inactivity. I mean really, after 2 years of inactivity should a fighter retain his ranking despite doing nothing. I say no

You would favor a blown up lightweight against someone who is naturally light middleweight/middleweight?

Everyone who was asked so far to name the top 10 welterweights and provided a list included Pacquiao and Thurman ... because they are among the 10 best welterweights.

I think that answers your question.

Who are your top 10 welterweights? Can you name 10 welterweights who you think are better than Pacquiao and Thurman?

Ending Thurman's 12-year unbeaten streak and fighting the unbeaten Spence for the World title is a little better than a couple of stay-busy fights.

We're ranking the best welterweights today, not listing who is the most busy.

I agree. And it's not like 10 of them who have been fighting are better welterweights than Manny Pacquaio and Keith Thurman.

If there are 10 welterweights who are better ... let's see them.

    1. Spence
    2. Crawford
    3.Porter
    4. M. Garcia
    5. Ortiz
    6. Manny Pacman
    7.Ugas
    8. Thurman
    9 D. Garcia
    10. Jamal James

The reason I listed Manny and Thurman lower is their inactivity, Manny hasn't fought in 2 years, he's 42. How does anyone know if he's still got it? Thurman is the same , 1 fight in 2 years and he lost to a 40 year old in that.

Now that I know, even more strongly. If he struggled to make weight, he'd be in for a rough night vs any of the guys I mentioned.

Thurman fits this description so well.
