He still has about 10 quality wins/future or former champs on there and as you've said, incredible ability.

And I'd say Roman>Ricardo Lopez BTW

It's because unlike you we're not biased towards him.

Okay.. but then.. what holds him back then... We have people on this list who didn't have deep resumes or long careers.. but have top victories and they have a place. I get you don't think he belongs.. I'm ask you flea.. and others WHY he doesn't belong.. which categories is he lacking in?

...But seriously, Roman was actually a very talented fighter. I don't think I disagree with too much he said in terms of his foot work, ring generalship, and his ability to outbox opponents. Offensively speaking though, I don't think he was on JMM or MAB's level. There may have been a chin vulnerability too.

Well a highly skilled boxer with wins over Jiro Watanabe, Kongtoranee Payakaroon, Santos Lacier, Sugar Baby Rojas and 11 lineal title fights (admittedly in a sub division, but an okay one, and good at that time) certainly deserves mention in that sort of field IMO.

I have him a bit below those guys, but considering the plaudits Ricardo Lopez gets Roman should be far more highly regarded.

In later fights yeah but he stood up to Moon and Konadu, two of the hardest punchers at 118 and below EVER, for long enough for me to think while he wasn't iron man he was not vulnerable.

Would love to know what happened in the Avelar fight, where Roman was DQ'd. Avelar by the way is my pick for hardest puncher flyweight and below. Freak.

Getting knocked down like 4-5 times isn't exactly standing up, Flea Man. But seriously, he seemed to box with a nervous disposition at times. Like he was afraid of getting hit or something? I suppose he did prove himself against Moon in the end, but I don't fancy his chances with a prime Jiro firing on all cylinders.

Long enough I said, neither man sparked him, he was tough, but his legs were going, although Moon would've been a nightmare match up for him at any time IMO. And anyway, past his best and Konadu was a massive puncher at the weight. And better than Junior Jones.
