I would say Chang is above Zapata. He has some of the same scalps, but Zapata has some good wins that the Korean Hawk doesn't have (Dodie Boy, Tomori) and beat Ursua (who flattened Zapata) again when still a relative novice (that's on my channel)

I guess if you shade either one of the Bassa fights to Zapata you might hold him in higher regard. Zapata fell off due to drugs, Chang to partying, but they both had 'full careers' before their downturn.

I guess I have Chang higher down to me thinking that he won both fights, and beat Chitalada second time round. The Thai, by then, being a longterm lineal (WBC) flyweight champ'.

Zapata was a brilliant defensive stylist though. I'd have it

    Chang
    Marcel
    Pedroza
    Zapata

though. If anyone wanted to have Marcel highest I wouldn't necessarily disagree.

Phili' Jack? Hard for me to rank but my gut feeling is no, he wouldn't make it.

Okay, went to watch one and I don't know who he's fighting but I know he's Asian.

    *Edit*

No no, before I was talking about Beau Jack still.

I'm a little confused. Marcel and Pedroza are featherweights. Are you comparing to give me a reference on how far you split Chang and Zapata?

I've got Zapata II, Inami, Torres I, and Chitalada I.

I've subscribed. You've got some nice old gems. Harada, Marcel-Arguello, Rodriguez. :good

I'll start watching of the Chang I've got and assess from there.

Speaking of midgets, I was just thinking... how far off did Flash Elorde and Pancho Villa come from making the top 100?

I have Villa a little lower than many in that I have him behind Lynch (they're back to back in the ESB poll) and Elorde in the same clutch. I thought they'd make it but with Lynch failing it was not to be.

Have to say I don't like the look of the 3 amigos all being grouped together, nor do I like them being behind Holmes and LaMotta.

Been steering clear of posting in here because my lack of knowledge of previous era's. But I can remain silent no more.

Yes. Because Marcel and Pedroza have already been suggested as 101-120 type fighters and are Panamanian stylists in Zapata's mould :good
