Of course. With Lopez right behind him.

I'd have Calzaghe>Lopez, but not by much. 120-130 would be where I'd put 'em I imagine. Mainly for the ability they displayed on film.EDIT: I saw Calzaghe live and he looked even better.

Phew. For a minute then I was thinking Marijan Benes might not make the top 100.

Would you rank Calzaghe over Liston, Saad, Jeffra, Marcel, Newsboy, Benny Lynch, Loi, Accavallo?

I came in here expecting to read some good posts on Jack Dillon :?

Really? Teddy had one more fight losing to a 4-0 novice after Charles then retired. He was utterly shot.

Nobody has anything to say about Jack Dillon's placement?

    I just watched Zarate-Hernandez.

    - Zarate wasn't one-paced. As soon as he realised his opponent was getting his track suit on he significantly upped it.

    - Zarate could be explosive. Somehow I had remembered Zarate's punches as being slowly delivered and without much on them. ...Well, not here.

    - I really appreciated the punch variety. He could really lead with anything - straight right hand, right uppercut, everything was there. Very well schooled puncher. The left hook always came after the right hand, whether it be upstairs or downstairs.

So...I don't know. Maybe it was a ridiculously half-arsed attempt at trying to get into this guy 2 years ago. I liked what I saw...even if his opponent was massively overmatched.

I love the list, overall. So don't hate me too much for saying this: but the last tier is almost a bit 'mainstream'?

It has Chang in it, who alone swings the hipster factor into overdrive. The rest need to be there to keep the balance.

Mainstream= Fighters you're not allowed to criticise because Pachilles watched them on HBO a few times.

Missed out on Ray's best scalp (Gavilan x2) but otherwise, good stuff, everything seems in order.

Maybe my needless digs at some of the bigger MAB, Morales and Marquez fans subconsciously turned you against him?
