So a fair dunt between Canzoneri and McLarnin then?

YC is undoubtedly greater, I'm not sure if you've seen me but I put it on Cuevas quite a lot given the chance

Well I just meant in comparison to Ross. I'm not denying anyone's greatness here or obstacles overcame whatsoever since all could be in the top 11-25 range depending on the day.

I can't say that 11-15 and 16-20 is a 'fair dunt' really. But yes I have Canzoneri middle placed, Ross first and McLarnin third.

As is mine. Admittedly I'm not comfortable with him yet. Need to do more to get a solid grasp on him.

As you know I ended up with them absolutely back-to-back. Canzoneri is a little deceptive I think, when you look at his arch it's spotty, magic, spotty, magic, like Moore he launches to greatness off a series of platforms. Strange career. In the end, McLarnin's superior top-to-bottom resume closed a lot of that gap for me, and for about 24hrs, McLarnin was in front.

Already in the bag, but thanks for thinking of me sweetie.

    Great thread.
    nice work, McG. :good

I would expect to see Fred Apostoli make a top 100 in which Freddie Steele is placed at #60, but maybe that's just me. I'd probably rate the Boxing Bellhop a place above the Tacoma Assassin, all things considered.

A shame that you weren't around to chip in six weeks ago. You, along with Janitor, MattD (until it was too late anyway) and SS were someone I was hoping to hear from that I didn't.

Why don't we scrutinise fighters for steroid usage the way we scrutinise Fernando Vargas, and the way we would scrutinise Mayweather if he had taken steroids.

'Steroids can improve a fighter’s speed, stamina, reflexes, and strength. To say your favorite fighter has nothing to gain by using these drugs is pure foolishness.'
