Although, he would go on to score a few more solid wins himself and he did have - what - 30lbs on Charles? It's a quality win/P4P achievement.

Yeah. The article I got it from (http://thecruelestsport.com/2013/03...ight-ezzard-charles-knocked-out-archie-moore/), says it was taken at a banquet dinner in the late 60's. Hadn't ever seen it before. Says Charles was already in a wheelchair by then, still in his 40's.

 

Robinson was practically bestowed as Mr. P4P (Myth or not) and was given a tribute and trophy at the Garden validating this idea. In fact, the inscription on the trophy said "The World's Greatest Fighter."

I bolded preeminent, not champion fellas.
