Jack Blackburn was obviously a great fighter.

Anj "**** the judges" when referring to Johnson-Langford??!?! Langford got battered, though he was given credit for the drubbing he took despite being around the modern middleweight limit at the time.

McGrain, give it up. Greb's resume is weak...

I get that Langford epitomes P4P. I prefer Greb's lure & record. I just can't muster Langford above Robinson. Man looks too damn good on film, and his record is still incredible. I like Armstrong's weight-jumping and I'm biased toward his style & way of fighting. Looks great on film, and the only thing to really stop him at his peak where low blows. It's not so much Langford as it is the other guys I guess. He had a great run himself against bigger opposition. Besides Greb, he's clearly least impressive on footage for whatever that its worth.

Jofre above Chavez ? Interesting, I like it.
Mexico can have all those numerous champions and yet our great fighter is greater than their number 1. :yep:

He looks good considering the context. But hardly does he look as good at that particular method of fighting like Armstrong, or as complete a boxer as Robinson.

I can't compare Greb & Langford on film, unfortunately. :verysad

I disagree. What style of fighting do you think he was trying to achieve?

I'm speaking very generally, mainly just as an attacking, pressure type fighter. Maybe more brawler than swarmer. I'm just saying I think Armstrong's a better as a come-forward fighter. At least as it pertains to how they look on film. You think Langford looks superior than Armstrong on film?

I think you've got Langford all wrong to be perfectly honest so the comparison is a moot one.

And I've already said I have Armstrong higher as well.

What comparison? Armstrong is better on film, Armstrong is the better aggressive operator IMO. I wasn't trying to compare them in any way explicitly, merely generally speaking.
