I thought p4p was like in weightlifting. Where a lighter guy is considered stronger than a bigger one because he's lifting more weight for his bodyweight. While in boxing it was based off accomplishments and how much a fighter successfully moved up weight classes or a fighter who beat larger opponents. I don't see why Ali would be this high since he was only in one weight class and I don't think gave up a whole lot of size in fights.

Of course this is just my line of thinking. What do most people consider when making a p4p ranking?

I think Lufcrazy and McGrain should be applauded for coming up with 2 great lists even with different criteria, very painstaking tasks. I know I couldnt do it lol.

I put Hearns above Chavez and Arguello. he is the most underrated fighter because of his losses to Hagler and Leonard. He fought two of the best on their best nights. If you look at his wins. Benitez,Cuevas, Duran, Hill 4 hall of famers and he beat them all rather easily.. Hearns should be near 20 . Duran is rated too high. He is overrated. Never beat many greats except Ray who then beat him easily. Lost too all his fab 4 buddies.

Pryor did not have a long great career. How can he be high up. I think Hearns should be near 20 just on his wins and knockouts. Duran is rated a little high for a guy who really lost to all the elites he fought. Spinks is about right. Did well moving up and then lost in seconds to Tyson. Hagler is a little low, but he did not move up and fight Spinks like other greats would have.

Pep is a top tener for me. He had 229 wins, 46 more than the 2-5 bunched up guys. Pep averaged a fight every 6 weeks for 26 years. Not to mention, the plane crash 7 years into his career, fractured leg , fractured back, basically full body cast, and to come out of that and perform the way he did .. That's just too hard core. Leonard with 40 fights at #17 , I move him down

Joe Louis, Jack Dempsey, Pernell "Pea" Whittaker & Marvin "Marvellous" Hagler! All in top ten in my opinion. Obviously not everybody's going to agree that's what opinions are for to have there say, what's your's?.
