You honestly think the Cotto win was better than beating JMM at 130lbs?

And I suppose if anything has been established here it's that fighters like Alexis Arguello and Manny Pacquiao are difficult to seperate, so whereas one person may have Arguello higher, someone else may have Pacquiao higher. But I do think the argument is there.

See above. The bold does make it look much more aggressive and for that I'm sorry mate, don't have time to split the quotes up at the sec.

106 to fighting for the 154lbs title is pretty monstrous. Even if you're 'cutting' weight.
But I was led to believe that Pacquiao was putting on weight the hard way. If that was the case, then he would be so high up the rankings. You just don't go from beating guys like Sasakul to dominating Margarito and Cotto like there's no tomorrow.

I'd like a perspective on this, I don't know how to much weighting to give to a fighters greatness when he has a big walk around weight but cuts well for fights and thus can pack a lot of power because he's 'naturally bigger'.

I don't discredit Mayweather's win against Marquez. Like I said earlier, even if Marquez was prime, at 160lbs, and memo trained..I still have him losing to Mayweather in a lopsided decision.

well, Manny left no doubt against Cotto. And did you actually score their third bout for Manny?

Which Bobby Chacon did by the way.

Sound, my above post is a little redundant now.

You do if you're twice the size of him. Again, find me a bigger size disparity in a fight that doesn't involve a midget (like Nemoto Vs Pedroza) or heavyweights. When a super P4P achievement features a size advantage like this you cannot take it at face value. Anyway, it's not like Sasakul was an Eder Jofre-esque champion. Very, very good though and as I said earlier, to get that outclassed and to still pull the bomb out of your arse needs to be applauded to a degree.

You ****. You could have made it easier to quote. :yep

Indeed, I acknowledge that it's easier to win titles in today's Boxing landscape.

Again, Modern boxing predictions Vs historical research are two different things, but I'm happy to admit that back in 2011 I wasn't as knowledgeable as I am now, and there may have been a few oversights.

Well I still think you're right on that matter anyway. So no sweat.

Are you saying Arguello>Pacquiao is totally unreasonable and unimaginable?

I don't think so, no. I was opening the discussion up for debate expecting Manny to have a fair case of being ranked just as high, if not higher, by the end of it all. These lists are splitting hairs a lot of the time, Flea.

Take JCC. I love the guy, I think he was exceptionally good, but did he beat the fighters Arguello and Pacquiao did? I don't think so, and yet McGrain has him higher than both. Perhaps he's putting more stock in his title defenses and consistency.

That they are. I don't think we really have a debate to have here then, as I pretty much agree with everything you said.
