1. Pacquiao-Barrera I 2. Forrest-Mosley I 3. Pacquiao-Cotto 4. Martinez-Williams II 5. Morales Pacquiao I 6. Hatton-Tszyu 7. Barrera-Hamed 8. Kovalev-Pascal I 9. Brewster-Klitschko 10. Barrera-Morales III 11. Mayweather-Corrales 12. Lomachenko-Russel Jr. 13. Pacquiao-Hatton 14. Jones-Ruiz 15. Calzaghe-Kessler That's my list of the best 15 performances since 2000. It's really 00's heavy, but I believe that decade had more top fighters fighting each other at their best than this current decade so far. Golovkin probably would made the list if Canelo had fought him and not vacated. The winner of Kovalev-Ward will easily crack this list if the winner is convincing. I believe Viktor Post can stop Crawford and make this list.
Well that's a nice list, i will add Khan vs Alexander, Maidana vs Broner, Broner vs Demarco, Spence vs Algeri, Morales vs Pacquiao, Fury vs Wlad, Mayweather vs Canelo, Manny vs Margarito, Mosley vs Margarito, Linares fought awesomely the first rounds against Demarco, Rigo vs Donaire, Lemiux vs Tapia, Golovkin vs Lemiux.
Ward exposing Froch ranks high for me. Ward showed how he literally has every tool in boxing. Rigo v Donaire 100% needs to be there
Froch was hardly exposed. We all knew his strengths and weaknesses and Ward was the favourite because of it. Also, if you have every tool in boxing then you don't really expose someone. Exposing should be used for when a lesser fighter exposes the weaknesses of a supposedly better fighter.
Come on he bullied the **** out of Froch and made him look like a d level fighter. Who else has done that to Froch?
This often gets brought up, but whether people find it exciting or dull to watch is besides the point; it is still a viable fight tactic. This type of mauling and in fighting was a lot more frequent in boxings past, but you still see it occasionally today - Hatton, Skelton, Glen Johnson. Wrestling with an opponent to get leveage and an inside shot off is legal. Excessive holding with no attempt to move an opponent for an opening isn't legal.
