Because Holmes' jab was far more powerful and shaped his fights more than Ali's did. His epitimised 'fight controlling', it was a real mouth-splitter, a far more prevelant weapon in his arsenal than Ali's. Ali's was more a point scorer than a fight contoller. Also, saying Ali had more power on the follow-up than Holmes is crap too. Holmes followed it with a great right hand, far more so than Ali. In fact the table you devised and categories seemed purely designed to make Ali win. Larry's jab was clearly superior.
good points I just think Alis was more controlling in the fight as he kept fighters off balance more and used it to score points. But you do make good points for Holmes aswell taht i am not arguing against
