Hard to imagine Duane Bobick beat the crap out of Teofilo Stevenson
at the 1971 Pan Am Games.
Bobick also, Knocked out the tough Russian Heavyweight who also beat
    Stevenson.

Duane Bobick may be the "KIng of Stinky'
L KO 3 vs. Teofilo Stevenson (Olympics)
L KO 1 vs. Ken Norton
L KO 3 vs. Kallie Knoetzee
L KO 1 vs. John Tate

He did handle Nick Wells pretty well in the amateurs.
Wells was a southpaw bomber, who could flatten anybody with one-punch.
I think Bobick beat him 5 out of 6.

His jaw got weaker every fight.

Do you recall Tim Spoon kayoing Anders Eklund with a massive right hand bomb in rd. 1 some yrs ago? I remember the big Swede being hyped prior to getting iced by "The Spoon."

I could n't believe it when I woke up to that result. Especially as witherspoon had scored a shutout against Smith the previous year.

Ingemar Johannson KO 1 Eddie Machen

Not a title fight, but 'one hell of a surprise'.
It took Eddie Machen nearly 5-years to wipe that 'stink' off himself.

I didnt think that fight was a stinker, sure the ref was poor in that bout.

But that was one of the best first round blowouts I seen.

    Machen was OUT.

All in all, my favorite 1st round KO is, "Juan Mesa-Jamie Garza" in which Garza had pounded and dropped Meza just prior to getting caught by Meza's hook that dumped the champ Garza on his back... WICKED! Garza got up, but was in no shape to carry on... Fight over... Mesa wins title....

OH! I also popped a woody when Lockridge KO'd Roger Mayweather for the WBC 130 pound crown on NBC...

I was shocked when Hearns iced "Glass-Jaw" Shuler in '86....

Kevin Johnson sucked against Klit in 2009.... BUT! I loved seeing Klit KO Kirkland Johnson on HBO back in 2003... I like seeing a ripped V.K. harpooning a whale....

Hector 'Macho' Camacho vs. John 'Kid' Montes

I went to get an Iced Tea from the 'fridge' and boom it was over, I missed the live fight.
Replay, the sneaky 'Macho Man' pulled Montes head down, and
    zapped in an uppercut.

    Johnny Boudreaux vs. Scott LeDoux.

Was there any truth to the rumour that it was Larry Holmes that advised Johnson to put extra poundage on to fight Vitali? And if so, did he actually mean muscle rather than fat, or was Larry just amusing himself ****ing the kids about again?
