1 - He put on too much weight
2- The money got to his head
3 - The champ should had fought in USA
4 - AJ juiced some more
5 - He threw the fight for $$$
6 - He ate a bad taco (Bonus excuse)

90% of the comments here are about AJ losing. It's going to be fun reading the excses lmao.

Editted number from losing too much weight to putting on too much weight. Already seeing this excuse floated about after the weigh in lol

Picking Ruiz to repeat but if Joshua does pull it off he’ll have proven that he can mentally overcome a devastating loss and make drastic adjustments in a very short period of time, and should pretty much never be written off against a top HW. I think you’d be surprised how many posters leaning in the same direction will say something similar should Joshua win, but those making excuses will probably go for 1 or 2.

Unless it's a robbery there should be no excuses.

I’d be with you on that despite heavily backing Ruiz, and it would prove me majorly wrong because I’m one of the ones who thinks Ruiz has AJs number

I reckon if it’s a KO, the excuse will be a satirical “well it was a lucky punch from the gods”

-The weight would be bull****, he would be much better not outweighing a flabby Tyson Fury 7 inches taller than him. But I think he'll still be the same level of obesity on fight night.
    - Money/overconfidence would be his own fault.
    - Location will be legit excuse if he gets robbed on the cards in a Matchroom bought off location
    - AJuice is definitely an issue but everybody accepts visible PED absurdities so what can you do
    - Throwing the fight is not likely

So in conclusion an obvious points robbery in a British money controlled event would be a perfectly fine excuse, the zone is famous for such things, as is Mexican money controlled Vegas.

PED performance enhancement with the scientific experiment AJ is ambiguous so probably can't be used effectively as an excuse.

If Ruiz does lose, i doubt the excuses that ensue will hold more comical value than the excuses that Joshuas fans came up with after he got battered around the ring.

I think Ruiz has to KO him to win, or at least put him down twice, Joshua can draw in more money than Ruiz

There is nothing to lose for Ruiz. The big expectations are on Joshua.

I just hope Ruiz shows up trying to win. Not interested in a Douglas/Holyfield redux.

I think Joshua will win but should be no more than a 55/45 favorite. It might end up being Forrest/Mosley all over again. If AJ takes it, I'll tip my hat to him because frankly I think he needed another fight in the meantime. He's attempting to do something very difficult.

How much pressure is on him? Joshua is the golden cow, not Ruiz.

    6. Hearn sent exotic belly dancers dressed as Snickers bars to Ruiz room with bottles of champaign at midnight and somehow got 5 dozen Pizza Pies from N.Y topped with Exstacy with a man disguise as a Genie hours before telling gullible Ruiz he doesn't need to worry about the fight , just wish a loss on AJ and it will automatically happen just by stepping in the ring and Ruiz fell for it and got about 2 hours sleep and still high as a kite. ..
