I considered him...He wouldnt be far out of the top 5 but he just wasnt as impressive as these guys..Showed issues with stamina and his chin..his two biggest wins were over guys who are just not that good.

Id basically pick all those guys to beat him at this stage, based on cruiser form.

 

Haye only had two fights of note at Cruiser - Mormeck and Maccaraneli, Mormeck's a solid Pro, but Macc is another glass jawed Frank Warren hype job. Not enough of a resume to justify him in the top 5 H2H

 

Thats good for you but PBF only fought 3 times at 140 was rocked by Demarcus Corley fought Brusseles and a well past it Gatti.

Sorry mate but PBF at 140 who knows what would happen.

3 fights like that isnt enough either with Benitez or Whitaker.

 

But it's enough for Arguello, considering he lost 2 of his 3 by KO and won the only other against Kevin Rooney prior to his first retirement? Yeah, that makes sense.:roll:

How about Benitez's schooling of ATG 140 pounder Antonio Cervantes at just 17 years old? Or his top notch win over the underrated Emiliano Villa directly afterward? Or his brilliant performance against another slickster in Ray Chavez Guerrero? I'd say he proved himself more clearly than Arguello at the weight easily.

 

I suppose you make a valid point Pea.

But i think i rate Arguello's war with Pryor pretty high.

And he pushed Pryor aswell. Its only one mans opinion.
Im a fan of Benitez's though.
