"Top 5 wins of this Century."

By 'this Century', you thought he ment last Century? It is no big deal, you just didn't pay attention.

End of thread! Haye vs Mormeck is the biggest, most important, significant fight of this century.

You think Jeff Lacy was a better fighter or a tougher fight than Miguel Cotto? I couldn't disagree more.

Which one of those five would you push out for Calzaghe beating non pound-for-pound ranked unproven supermiddleweight Mikkel Kessler?

Let me guess - Hopkins beating p4p#2 40-0(34) multiple-weight champion Felix Trinidad?

This Century didn't officially start for boxing until Audley Harrison won the SuperHeavyweight Olympic Gold Medal in the summer of 2000.

Its as good as win at least as hopkins v trinidad, trinidad was much smaller and while held a very good win over joppy at middle had done nothing else there, name wise trinidad looks far superior but personally don't think it was a better win

It won't make most people's lists but Hopkins beating the everloving **** out of Tarver at the age of 41 was one of the proudest moments I've had as a Philadelphia resident.

Barrea over Hamed was a huge win.

Much smaller? Contrary to popular belief, no he wasn't. Trinidad weighed in at 1 1/2 lbs heavier than Hopkins for that fight, and was giving away a maximum of 2 inches in height and 2 1/2 inches in reach. In any weight division, this is a perfectly normal, standard size disparity for 2 fighters. As high as middleweight, this is scarcely a size difference at all. Kelly Pavlik has a bigger size advantage than that in almost every fight, even against guys who have fought at middle their whole careers. Did you see the Lockett fight for instance?! In his last 2 fights before Hopkins, Trinidad blew away a big lightmiddle, Vargas, to unify the 154 titles, then blew away WBA middleweight champion Joppy. Trinidad was favourite to win. Size was not a major factor in that fight; Hopkins's performance was.

That made my shortlist for the top 5, along with Jones-Ruiz. Hopkins was 40+, jumping 2 weight divisions and coming off 2 defeats, and still managed to dominate the linear lhw champion. A sensational win. Def in my top 10.

    Correct.

Beating up welterweights does not qualify as an amazing win for a middleweight. A good one, but not great.
