Although the fact that you seemingly follow users about on here, suggests to me that you just like annoying certain people
Barrera had already boxed 50+ times, had already lost, and wasn't exactly as respected as Oscar was at the time. Tons of people beat Barrera easily. One person beat Oscar easily. And that was when he was shot
Great stuff. I disagree with a few. I'd definitely have Tito-Joppy in there and I don't rate Winky's win over Shane all that highly - Shane never looked impressive at 154 to me.
It's a good list, but: Putting Hatton vs. Pacquiao above Hatton vs. Mayweather is just pure comedy Other than getting outclassed up by Tszyu for 10 rounds, before getting a shock stoppage, Hatton hadn't beaten much at either weight. What's more, Hatton was the exact same in ring weight in both fights. And faced an opponent weighing the exact same amount. Floyd was only 1 pound heavier than Manny in those fights. What's more, Hatton had not only been heavily knocked out by Floyd, by then, but he'd also had the crap beaten out of him by journeyman lightweight Juan Lazcano You know, Mayweather vs. Hatton was a big deal. A big event. Two unbeaten stars going head to head. Pacquiao vs. Hatton was like Pacquiao vs. De la Hoya.
As for Pacquiao vs. Cotto, you know, it would make it somewhere into the list, but top 10 is comedy gold. Cotto barely got past a 37 year old Mosely, had been abused by Margarito (who a 37 year old Shane beat easily straight afterwards), barely got past an old Clottey. Most pundits had him at least "past his best" going into that fight. A lot of them had him "on the scrap heap" He was a B opponent at best. Calling him A-, is just bias. He would have gone into a Mosely fight as an underdog at that time
And this is only one reason why I'm not indulging this boring butt-hurt ***** idiot on this thread. atsch
why not put all you thoughts in one single long post instead of spamming good threads like this? if you have objections feel free to point it out in a civilized manner instead of complaining and whining. better yet, why not make your own list if you think you know better?
That idiot complains of bias, and yet look at what he wrote: "No way I'd put Manny at #2" not, "No way I'd put Manny vs Barrera at #2" He's clearly just another "I love Floyd, I hate Manny" General Forum douchebag letting his petty prejudices spill over into a thread for real boxing fans.
these lists are really great people can obviously disagree on a few places but its still good, its a big step up compared to the usual pac/floyd stuff.
Nice list very good infact. I too have had the gayest time with constant work hoping to do something similar to this on a free day!
i want to know which performance/s he thinks is way better than pac over barrera. i know there is bhop over trinidad or even mayweather over corrales if you prefer it but i don't think many would top that performance in that decade.
