Floyd tried to fight him before that and was rebuffed. Shane knew Floyd was retired and offered him a fght, Shane knew Floyd was going to fight him right away off an 18 month layoff and offered a fight. Shane knew Floyd had a bigger fight with Hatton and tried to fight him. This crap can go both ways. Why does Floyd have to sit around and wait for it to be perfectly convienient for Shane to fight him even when it's not convienient for Floyd to fight Shane; especially when Shane has shown reluctance to do the same?

The Hatton fight was a much bigger fight than a Mosley fight, and Floyd said he would fight Shane after Shane beat Cotto. Of course, Shane lost that fight.

Of course no Mosley fan will catch on to his act. Especially the one where he claims he accidently took steroids.

I don't think Floyd's is a personalilty that would deal well in the least with a loss.

He doesn't strike me as one with the faculties to use a defeat constructively; to derive the positive from such and develope further.

Because of this, I seriously doubt he'll take on such a high-risk fight.

Rebuffed? You mean when Shane jumped 2 divisions to fight Oscar? OK go with it.
Shane has stated publicly several times that he wanted Floyd BEFORE he retired. He hasn't waited until just now to call him like you apparently want to believe.
If Floyd is the best and he always stays in shape what is the problem with coming back to fight Shane? Given Shanes age, I think the 18 month lay off would make it a wash.
Shane wanted to fight PBF BEFORE Hatton called him out. "I don't fight no sparring partners" was his response so save it.
So now Floyd said he would fight Shane if he beat Cotto? First off link and why then didn't he fight Cotto if he was willing to fight the winner?

He probably wouldn't deal well at all with a loss, but I really don't see this as a high risk fight at all.

I am no Floyd fan (if this fight happens I would be supporting Pac all the way), but I see him winning fairly comfortably. Now if I can see Floyd winning, you better believe he can as arrogant and cocky as he is.

The past huge outcry of fans for PBF-Cotto really made no difference at all (in contrary,...it made PBF go into retirement) so it's hardly a factor that will make Floyd decide for the fight.

mayweather is only a big draw he is fighting other big name fighters. he was never a great draw when he was fighting the likes of judah and baldomir
