its sad to see one FIRST good boxer he beats and suddenly american fans show their bias by forgetting the achievements of other boxers who are undefeated and defeated 5-6 quality boxers

you are the type of fans i hate, sorry but your short memory just pisses me off

can't argue w/ that either. i keep waiting for someone to lay froch out stiff but it hasnt happened yet.

truth be told all we have here is a talented pool of smw's each w/ their own set of question marks. you could make arguments for 5 different top fives. this tourney should sort some of that out. bute could do his part by beating miranda and then maybe bika. point is the talent is there but who fits where is kind of a mess.

yeah true, i hope froch gets the dog **** beaten out of him and i am confident abraham and kessler will do that but i dont understand how

one, yes ONE good fight can take a boxer from like 20th position to 1st position? especially if he never fought the undisputed number 1 smw in the fans opinion

currently its fair to say abraham and froch are in the top 3 and better ranked than anyone else in the super six, if ward beats them then fair enough he deserves his spot but he hasnt yet

Coming into the tournament there were few disputing that Kessler was the best SMW in the world. This was because he had clearly beaten better opposition than anyone else, and beaten them easily. With Ward comfortably accounting for Kessler anyone with any level of objectivity would have to rate Ward fairly highly on the back of that win. AA should be one spot higher. I'm not sure why Dirrel isn't on the list given his performance against the so-called No. 3. I'm not sure why Bika is that high given that he's been beaten by every top level fighter he's faced, such as Bute, Calzaghe, Beyer. Although Bute appears to be the goods based on ability, he's fairly lucky to be considered the No.1 SMW given that he hasn't beaten many top tier fighters.

I only have one problem with this list, who the hell is Eduard Gutkneckt? Otherwise, it seems reasonable.

    I think it's about right.

You could make a case for both Bute and Ward being at number one. I'm gonna go with Bute, due to the fact that he's made more title defenses and I think he's fought more quality opponents than Ward.

I thought Froch was given the gift decision of a life against Dirrell, but he can't really be moved down since it's recorded as a win.

This ranking looks acceptable. Bute at #1 is OK. However there will be a lot of changes in next months.

Super Middle is pretty hard to rank tbh.

It will sort itself out over the coming 12mths.
