This is the future of American heavyweights right here. Go ahead and post some Hammer love. :happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy
Some more background on Hamer. Great article. http://www.villagevoice.com/2008-11-26/news/gentleman-boxer-tor-hamer/
He's fighting a big sloth right now! lol This is the first time I have seen him fight. At least he's in shape.
Hamer is pretty raw still. I think Deontay Wilder can do good things even though he's just starting out. They both look better than freak'n Tyson Fury and Price for sure!
Looked like he had lots of potential from what I saw, provided he sharpens the D and has a chin. He has a nice arsenal, works the body, looks in shape, and has a tenacity about him without being reckless. I like what I'm seeing.
You know I am definetly on board Brickhaus. This kid looks very good to me so far and I believe not only is he much better than overhyped Fury, but he will be Champion someday along with Wilder.
Instead of just focusing on the fact that he didn't knock him out, focus on the fact that he barely got touched, that he was able to land at will, and that his body movement is already elite for the heavyweight division. He fights like a light heavyweight, which is nice for a change.
He certainly looks to have potential. I saw something on him some time back and was interested in seeing him fight. I was fairly impressed with him tonite, yes. Very aggressive fighter who throws alot of combos.............He also looks to take training and conditioning very seriuosly which is a good thing to see, in a division littered with obese guys like Solis, Chambers, and Arreola. I wonder how much of a step up they'll give him next.
His name is just cool! lol..Nice to see the two young prospects Hamer and Wilder stay in good shape unlike most our American Heavies. Now if they just stay that way. I have no doubt either would KTFO of Tyson Fury!
I didn't say he sucks. But, he's still raw. Horrble foot work, though. Kept squaring up. Give him some more time and maybe he'll do better.
...count me as not being on the Hamer express.. ...totally and utterly NOT impressed tonight. That was the quality of a walk-out bout, and that's what it was. That Arnold guy was a fat-assed tomato can, and he couldn't stop him, and looked gassed after 2 rounds (Hamer that is, as Arnold was gassed after about 30seconds).
