http://www.boxingnewsonline.net/the-tortured-soul-of-edwin-valero/ Today marks the ninth anniversary of The Liquidator's last fight. I have two questions on Valero, how great could he have become ? and who is the bigger scumbag out of him and 'The Harlem Hammer' James Butler ?
Now looking back at it, I think he was on roids and had roid rage. That's where all his anger came from.
Clearly Valero is the bigger POS. He killed his wife and took the coward's way out. That being said, valero has the potential to be an ATG in the lower weights. His aggression and tenacity were other-worldly.
You have control over the roid rage , It’s not that bad, for me it wasn’t bad, I think valero jusst wasn’t right in the head.
Just like a Greek tragedy. It's plain to see for anyone he was madly in love about his family yet still hurt it. Shows how the obligation of making weight can lead to horror stories.
yeah nothing to do with severe head trauma ******ed esb trolls i swear to God yeah lidocaine and ivs sent him over the edge Don't throw Floyd's weakness in everyone's direction
Valero had incredible pop. His skills were weak though. I met him a few times, seemed like a jolly fellow everytime. His best KO was Daniel Ponce De Leon in Atlantic city, in a parking lot outside of a Casino. Apparently they were fighting over a prostitute. At any rate, don't listen to @LANCE99 talking about ATG lmao, he was very flawed technically and would have gotten outclassed by any of the top Lightweights including JMM.
He had a nasty head injury from a motor cycle accident which required a metal plate. It may have had something to do with his mental make up. There is some suspicion that guards killed him and covered it up by faking suicide.
Look I don't remember him having a motorcycle accident I was just throwing something out there. At the end of the day you're taking up for a guy who killed his wife
I boxed and served innthe military. When you leave the gym you aren't more aggressive or more of a hot head because of boxing. If anything it helps your self discipline. Coming back from a combat pump is something different entirely, but its not like a switch that you turn off, real difficult to explain. First off, you're basically an adrenaline junkie or stone cold cocaine/crack addict. I dont care what anyone says, TIC's(troops in contact - anytime you take contact from a hostile force) is ****ING FUN. The rush is incredible and the closest thing ive ever done that comes close was mainlining a huge shot of fire cocaine. When you come home, you miss that and want that fix so bad. Then you go from a world where every decision you make has life or death consequences not just for you but mainly your brothers. Anything, like making sure your boots are tied good before a patrol to keeping hydrated. Its you guys against the world and you KNOW you can count on EVERY SINGLE ONE of your brothers and you and them prove that time and again to each other. Then you come back and the biggest decision you have to make is what your having for lunch and everyone around you will forever be different from you and that feeling goes deep. Also, any time you take contact, a lot of times it comes down to who can get more violent faster, and then all he'll breaks loose and com's goes down and nothing goes to plan and you cant get approval to drop a JDAM on some jerks head and so on and so on. You come home and do weird **** like swerve when driving your car everytime you go under a bridge so nobody drips a grenade in on you. Social anxiety through the roof and you are constantly anticipating getting rocked by insurgents, even in a McDonald's. I dont think coming home from multiple combat pumps can be properly articulated. You are a total mess, loose cannon, and a lot of other things. But you still don't go kill your wife or any family member. If you do that you were probably defective and way jacked up before you enlisted in the military. That's just crazy ****. And if you have ever killed anyone on a deployment, even though they were trying to kill you and even worse, your brothers, it eats at you forever and you never talk about it. Unless you're a ****ing sociopath.
OK crybaby... BTW, do you know what POTENTIAL means moron? Because I said he had the potential. It means he WAS NOT, but the possibility was there. Got that you qunt?
I never understood Dougie's lovefest with this guy. Maybe his was a gem in the gym early on.... By the end he looked like a ****ing caveman in the ring. His form vs DeMarco was laughable. Genuinely laughable. You cannot tell me that Pacquiao or Marquez wouldn't have sent his head flying into the stands. I remember the DeMarco fight and thinking how fast and badly he would be sparked out when he meets these guys.
