Nothing to do with British boxing in all honesty but thought it might interest a few. So just read about this guy in a world boxing news article. His name is Sebastian Fundora an american middleweight who is a staggering 6ft7! Out of interest, how well do people think he will do with an obscene height advantage? Or will it in fact be a weakness with opponents just smashing him to the body? Going to try and find some videos of him. http://boxrec.com/en/boxer/773847
That is mental, totally insane and probably unhealthy but I don't believe this height until I see him standing next to a confirmed 6'7". Boxrec always list wrong heights.
That's insane height for a super middle or even any weight for that matter, he's only 19 so I can't imagine him staying at that weight for long. Hard to say whether it would be an advantage or hindrance without watching him, depends how fast his hands are & how good he is at cutting off the ring. Although I get the feeling it won't help him too much against good fighters otherwise we would have seen more people of his size & body shape have success by now, he looks very skinny.
Well if I had to box a 6'7 middleweight I would be rubbing my hands, sure he's not a lamp post ! If the height fir the guy is correct that is just mental, no way he would be able to punch hard or take a punch. If you hit him with a hard body shot your fist is likely to come out through his back lol
