Shame on the managers, promoters, "hangers on", or whoever else allowed or encouraged him to fight on. They should be haunted. I don't know how people like that can live with themselves. He took brutal beatings long before he was killed, yet they match him against a nobody so he can win a championship "belt". This gave the illusion to the average boxing fan that if he is a champ, he must be at the top of his game, which of course he was not, and not even fit to be in the ring. Then they match him against Jesus Chavez (who wasn't a stiff), and he takes another brutal beating and dies. Anything for the money. May the poor soul R.I.P.

He earned his title shot. He was a top contender.
He beat a rated fighter to EARN his title.
He was a very talented- knocked out UNBEATEN Sharmba Mitchell when nobody wanted to fight Mitchell.
