Wards wins a clean fight.

It's people defending the refereeing that I don't understand, are you blind?

 

After watching the footage on page 2 "the first footage I have seen of the fight due to no showtime" I got to see for myself what happened. I honestly dont find Ward as special as alot of people have been labling him as. Good fighter yes, worthy to wear a belt yes. But I dont think he wins the whole thing its going tot be Abraham Froch or Kessler. The skills I saw from Ward were nothing that Dirrel couldnt do. People make Ward look like one of the best boxers around, Dirrel has the same ability as him. Kessler who I have seen a great deal of footage of looked off form. Probably from two massive cuts on his eyes which any normal fighter could not win with.

Ward caught him with great shots but in the footage never seemed to have him all that hurt. He also used his head quite a bit. Also after any decent Kessler punch there was a Ward hold. Kessler getting grabbed and butted never got going.

To me he can win a rematch which many others have said is impossible. Kessler was landing rights and left hooks. He sharpens up he can win a rematch. I predict now that Kessler is now an underdog and no longer the front runner in everybodys mind he will have all pressure lost and fight free headed and with a ****** off his back. Now Ward has all the pressure in the world for the 2nd fight, can he handle it, it is hard to be motivated when your on top ofthe world.

Ward was also something of a dark horse. Nobody knew what he could do he had no real fights or big wins or was on TV much. Now he is no longer a mystery people will be better prepared for him now. Not to say this means all that much.

I feel Kessler is still going to do well and Froch and Abraham's power chin and consistency will put one of them in the finals if not both if it was one of those 2 it could possibly be Ward or Kessler if he beats Ward later.

 

Step 1: In order for you to post in a forum, reading comprehension is a must. I already said this in the first post all I was doing was making the comparison between Ward-Kessler and Mayweather-Hatton because of the illigal tactics both of the winning fighters used and differently the general forum's attitude is towards the two fighters. Ward used illegally tactics and won and the majority calls him a cheater. Mayweather used illegally tactics and won and the majority says he put on a Boxing clinic. That's the point I was making that obviously flew over your head.

Bunch of damn cry babies in this thread. Ward won every round of that fight and the headbutts didn't occur till much later in the fight when Ward was easily winning the fight.

Kessler/Calzaghe fans get over it, Ward will always hold a stylistic advantage over the robotic Kessler.

 

Given on the styles...Kessler gets beat everytime they fight!
