I'm a big Kessler fan, I'm familiar with his career. I just thought PH1LLA was absolutely off his mark when he tried to make a pity party for Mikkel because he was fighting in Oakland.

I doubt Kessler wants one so why even bother trying to make that an issue.

I'm seeing more crying from the Ward backers than anyone else! Kessler took his belt across the world into the lion's den and then got his face cut up by about 400 headbutts while the ref didn't do ****! He was asked if he wanted to quit 5 times but every time he said No ****ing way and fought on like a warrior.

STFU and give the man his props!

    A) The largest % are not crying, stop making it out as if they are.
    B) I doubt for one ****ing minute if it was Ward that had been head butted intentional or not that you'd keep your mouth shut.:deal

Dude I don't even see why this is halfway relevant. If the fight happened in Denmark or ****ing Jupiter would he deserve less props?

If Ward would've been headbutted and done nothing about it, he would've deserved every single thing that happened to him on said night.

Again, Kessler isn't bitching about it. I don't see why everyone else is.

1:44 - Use of the head was so careless
2:16 - Lunges his head forward

3:32 - Doc nearly puts his finger IN the cut and streching it while referee being extremely hostile towards Kesslers camp

5:22 - Head first going fo a HOLD not even a punch even bringing his head upwards, ref doesnt even give a warning just saying 'its alright' what a douche

6:42 - Ward sticking his head out - another clash of heads

Many other occasions in which Ward unecessarily rubbing his head into Kesslers and yet not a single warning or point deduction. Also what business is it of the ref to mention where the cut is? "Its on the eye lid, see where its at? Are you okay with that?" Referee shouldnt be saying a damn thing about it, its simply not his job.

This fight just seemed like a big pay back for the two losses USA has suffered in the tournament, what a disappointment.

Its called facing adversity. Its something to be commended for especially when someone is willing to put their title on the line in the process. Home field advantage is a significant advantage in every sport. Boxing is no exception.

Its one thing for a busted up Cotto to carry on fighting in front of 20K Puerto Ricans at MSG cheering him on and its another for a busted up Kessler to do it half-way around the world in an arena where he was boo'd on his way in and where the ref is practically working against him.

    Check my posts I'm not.

    Kessler DID complain about it:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/8370183.stm

    Pay special attention to:

"He threw a lot of elbows and there were a lot of head butts. He never got any warnings. I don't want to sit here and complain all the time, but I wasn't happy with the referee."

    and,

After the fight, Kessler and his camp criticised Reiss for allowing too much holding and inside fighting, leading to head clashes.
"Without taking anything away from his win, the referee helped him from the first minute," said Wilfried Sauerland, Kessler's promoter.
"He used his head, he used his elbow, and he didn't even get a warning. That was a bit much."

After claiming he didn't complain when he clearly did I'm not sure how much creedence we can give to your other posts since it appears you're just making **** up.

Since when is giving a fighter credit called a pity party? The man faced a ton of adversity and never backed down in the face of it, even though he came out on the short end. I think many other professional boxers would have quit under similar circumstances.

Please explain to me how Mayweather cheated. And do it without referencing things that aren't actually fouls. Then explain to me how anything he did is comparable to blinding a fighter with headbutts.

Now personally I don't think either fighter cheated, as another poster said, it's not their job to police the ring, but the difference between, say, pushing with the forearm, which and using your head as a third fist, even unintentionally, is staggering.

Getting pretty sick of this Ward headbutting ****. Ward gave the favourite a boxing clinic, deal with it and stop looking for excuses. Ward slips and gets low, heads clash, it's a ****ing fight.

 I knew I did....I just didn't feel like thinking about the correct spelling and correcting it. But yea.....my thoughts were that no matter what circumstance Ward will always have the tools and style to give Mikkel problems. In my opinion beat him everytime out unless Kessler landed one of those power rights on Wards beard.

 Homie.....there was nothing biased about the commentating. They just called the fight like it played out. Mikkel did well....but he just had problems with the speed and game plan Ward had. Nothing was done with intent to harm illegally. It's boxing....**** happens. It's when fouls happen that are INTENTIONAL when people need to be upset. Mikkel could have done better however he wouldn't be favored to beat Ward any day of the week based on what we all saw in their initial encounter. And That isn't a knock on Mikkel b/c he could beat anyone of the super six, but Ward has a very unique style that Mikkel has trouble coping with. Can he make adjustments...sure....but he'll always have trouble with Ward.....enough to never beat him.
