    Little man looks a little like a different Philippine boxer...

    Merlito is coming off a career's best win over Luis De La Rosa in eight and is clearly fast-tracked for a trinket having picked up something called the "interim wbo minimum-weight championship".

    Depending upon his eventual opposition, this could be too soon for a southpaw who looks a little too fond of his straight, a failing common to his breed. Loads of time to sort that out though and some interesting fights to be made in the meantime.

    Don't see how you can expect any credibility to be lent to these when:

    The No. 3 heavyweight has fought exactly ONCE in two years. And has only won one fight since 2010.

    And the new No. 10 heavyweight enters the rankings based on a November, 2012, win and (until losing tonight) hadn't fought since.

    1) There are rules about inactivity and the #3 hw hasn't breached any of them yet.

    2) If a fighter drops out of the rankings then the #11 moves up to #10 regardless of when his last win was

    3) Writing of an entire project because you disagree with two rankings - one if which won't even be true by the middle of the week - is ludicrous.

    4) What ranking is it you know of that doesn't have Haye at #3 or #4 and do you find them all entirely without credibility?

    Can I ask, does anyone in the panel ever bring up Broner in the pound for pound rankings?

    If so I would suggest you call for their immediate resignation and suggest they join the ring ratings panel.

    I don't even see why most people have him as number 1 Lightweight. Vazquez and Burns, probably Abril too, (definitely if you take into account the losses to Rios, Lundy and Prescott should've been wins) have achieved more at 135 than Broner.

    Yes, Broner has been mentioned, and although I don't have him or want him in my top ten p4p, I think he does merit inclusion in that discussion now.

    I agree that Burns should be ahead of him at lightweight, but there are more members for Broner, so OK, I'll live with that one (and a couple of others).

    A certain group of fans still overrate him not on what he has done but on what they think he could do based on his **** talk over Twitter.

    Haye is and always will be one the most overrated biggest jokes in Boxing in recent years.

    He did much worse than Holyfield,Ruiz,Chagaev,Donald and a few others against Valuev...infact he actually should have lost.

    Price and Wilder did better against Fraudley(and they didnt need to fix the fight)surely that should drop him down a few huh?
