Timothy Bradley moves up from #4 to #2 at 147 having beaten previous #2 Juan Manuel Marquez by decision in Las Vegas this weekend. This means a fight between Floyd Mayweather and Bradley would star a new lineage at 147lbs and crown a new King.

In other news, Juan Carlos Reveco moves up to #5 at flyweight after an 8 round TD over Ricardo Nunez.

Floyd, but his retirement in 2007 following the Hatton fight created a vacancy that has yet to be filled.

You're right Drrew. Thanks for clearling that up.

MG, can you explain why there is no lineal welter since 2007?

wouldn't Floyd be considered the champ when he beat #2 Mosley? Because Pac moved up to LMW and hadnt fought at 147 for more than a year?

Negative; the rankings await the meeting between the top two contenders to crown a champion.

Ortiz wasn't one of the top two contenders at the time.
