Should Donaire not be dropped from the SBW rankings?

He isn't going to campaign there again is he?

Good point, he is about to challenge for a FW title.

My guess is TBRB will drop him in a month when he will officially be a year removed from the weight, at which point he'll be inserted somewhere in the feather rankings just in time for his title challenge. (which could then see him either rise or drop out altogether depending on how it goes...)

No move for Salido. Lomachenko is unrated.

so theres a heavy influence of resume as opposed to ability and "who the best is"?

I'd say Shumenov's inactivity (two fights since August 2011) and Fonfara's over Campillo and Johnson probably.

The Charter tab on the website details how we approach things like inactivity, two-division guys, "robberies," etc.

Plan on seeing Donaire exit the JFW rankings after his next bout (scheduled at FW in May against #1 FW Vetyeka). If he wins, look for him to enter the FW rankings. If he wins big, look for him to enter at or near the top.

We don't rank even top guys when they announce a move into a new division. They have to fight first. No appointments.

    :?

    Announce?

Donaire's last fight (and only fight in a year since Rigondeaux) was at FW.

It's a conservative approach designed to avoid yo-yoing. It also means that an action is triggered (objective) rather than decided upon (Subjective).

So Donaire's exit is triggered by an event that occurs in the real world rather than a surge towards one feeling or another among members.
