Donaire may be past-prime now, sure. But he was also a top-ten P4P fighter not too long ago. He defeated the number one Jr. Featherweight in Nishioka and became the True Champion. He defended the crown with a KO of 7th ranked Arce, defeated top-ranked Mathebula, and then ran into a master-boxer and lost the crown.

Anyway, he'll probably be gone from the Jr. Featherweight rankings after May 31 when he fights Vetyeka. If he wins that fight, it'll be interesting -Vetyeka is the number-one contender in the division.

Also, the winner of a Floyd-Manny fight will have the WBA/WBC/WBO titles.

If the winner of that fight fights Porter, the winner will be the Undisputed Welterweight Champion.

"Undisputed" has no meaning once you dismiss the WBS belts. If the True Divisional Champion happens to carry a WBS belt, it is mere coincidence. Often times the so-called champions aren't much more than appointees.

If Sakio Bika fights Arthur Abraham and "unifies the WBC and WBO belts" -what does that mean? It means nothing! Don't believe the hype! Ward is the True Champion. The rest are really contenders when you cut through the nonsense.

The Transnat'l Rankings Board does not recognize any of WBS titles. Personally, I cannot understand why any clear-thinking fan would.

Heard of Tony Canzoneri or Ray Leonard? Just two examples of fighters winning titles weighing but fighting under the weight limit

Berg-Canzonari was for both the Jr-Welter and Lightweight titles, Leonard-Lalonde was also for titles at two weights.

Dawson-Ward should have had both linear titles on the line.

    Bull.
If Maidana had won the Floyd fight, would he have been the LMW champ as well without ever fighting at the weight? :blood

Why shouldn't Maidana win both of Floyd's championships if he beat him under those weights? Floyd is considered the best fighter in the world and the champion in both divisions. If Maidana had beaten him he should have received the recognition for it by being awarded both titles.

Not every fighter is going to hold multiple championships, if they are willing to defend those championships in a timely manner then it think it is a great way to establish true champions.

In this age of the fight game, with diluted titles and numerous weight divisions, the opportunity should be given to fighters who strive to attain the heights of past greats.

Pacquiao won a LMW title without fighting at the weight, Leonard won a LHW title without ever fighting at the weight.

If both are under limit, it should be for title. I agree.
